During 2016, Verde Azul developed the project called RESILM-O, which consisted of a collaborative assessment of the resilience of communities living along the Limpopo basin, through collaborative workshops between communities, government institutions and the private sector.

During the current year, we started a new phase, which consists of implementing activities that will increase resilience to climate change for a period of one year. The activities will be implemented in the current district of Limpopo, Zongoene’s administrative post in three communities. The main activities involve organizing where communities live, then putting them to work together and finally enabling them to face the main problems in the area, which are droughts and floods.

This project arises from a partnership between AWARD and Verde Azul, and they are developing the best implementation methodologies, with a view to obtaining the best results from the communities.
